A program designed for your future For one year, divided into three periods, you will explore how Boliden operates end to end, and how your own unique background and experience connect to the bigger picture. As a graduate, you are employed in a permanent position from day one and supported by an individual development program. Throughout the year several engaged and experienced colleagues, will guide you in your progress. You will become part of an international network of graduates and colleagues, expanding both your knowledge and connections. Six joint training weeks with top-class lecturers will challenge your thinking and give you the opportunity to further deepen your skills. After graduation you will continue your journey with a mentor for six months. In addition, you will receive practical training in project methodology and Boliden’s production methods, enabling you to apply what you learn directly in our operations. In this role as a Mine Engineer, you'll be part of a mine planning and technical team at one of Boliden’s mining sites. You will help plan how mineral resources can be extracted safely and economically, combining technical and computer-based work with practical exposure to mining operations.

Responsibilities: Support mine planning with a focus on safe and economically efficient resource extraction

Apply knowledge of mining methods, geology and mine economics in technical analyses and planning

Work with modern mine-planning software and digital tools

Collaborate with colleagues across technical functions and mining operations

Spend time at mine sites to understand operational conditions and priorities

Adapt and reprioritize when operational circumstances change

Contribute to problem solving and continuous improvement in mine planning and operations

Qualifications:  Master’s degree in Mining Engineering, including substantial coursework in mine economics, mining methods and geology. A relevant degree in Geotechnical Engineering may also be considered

What you bring You hold a relevant university degree completed in 2025 or later. You can communicate clearly in English, hold a valid driver’s license and are available to start in September 2027. This role will be based at Garpenberg or Aitik in Sweden. The final location will be determined during the recruitment process, based on business needs.
