A program designed for your future For one year, divided into three periods, you will explore how Boliden operates end to end, and how your own unique background and experience connect to the bigger picture. As a graduate, you are employed in a permanent position from day one and supported by an individual development program. Throughout the year several engaged and experienced colleagues, will guide you in your progress. You will become part of an international network of graduates and colleagues, expanding both your knowledge and connections. Six joint training weeks with top-class lecturers will challenge your thinking and give you the opportunity to further deepen your skills. After graduation you will continue your journey with a mentor for six months. In addition, you will receive practical training in project methodology and Boliden’s production methods, enabling you to apply what you learn directly in our operations. In this role as a Water Treatment Engineer, you'll be part of a team working with water treatment in a mining and industrial environment. Depending on the final placement, you may work within an Environmental Department or a Concentrator/Processing Plant, combining process engineering and reporting with practical presence in the plant.
Responsibilities: Support and develop water treatment processes in a mining and industrial environment
Investigate process issues and identify practical, solution-focused improvements
Combine engineering analysis and reporting with regular presence in the plant
Build an understanding of equipment and how water treatment processes operate in practice
Collaborate with operational employees, managers and specialists across different functions and sites
Build internal networks and proactively identify colleagues who can contribute relevant expertise
Prepare accurate and structured technical reports and communicate findings to different stakeholders
Reporting in water quality and water consumption, as well as prepare accurate and structured technical reports and communicate findings to different stakeholders
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with a clear connection to Process Engineering or Process Technology. A Master’s degree is strongly preferred. Courses in chemistry and environmental subjects are meritorious

What you bring You hold a relevant university degree completed in 2025 or later. You can communicate clearly in English, hold a valid driver’s license and are available to start in September 2027. This role may be based at Aitik or in the Boliden Area. The final location and organizational placement will be determined during the recruitment process, based on business needs. The Assessment Center will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, on one day between February 16-19, 2027. Boliden will cover travel and accommodation expenses.
