About the Role

You will step into a key architecture assignment focused on a large and complex identity environment for a major public-sector organization. The core challenge is to shape a future-proof setup for account provisioning, authentication and federation across on-premises Active Directory and Google Workspace, while supporting a transition to a new AD structure.

In this role, you will evaluate how identities should be synchronized and managed going forward. A central part of the assignment is to assess whether the current use of Google Cloud Directory Sync should remain, whether Entra ID is a better path, or whether another approach would create a stronger long-term solution. You will also look at the federation model needed for a future setup and define how this should be handled during account migration.

You will work in an environment where clear documentation, well-founded recommendations and the ability to explain trade-offs matter just as much as technical depth. Job DescriptionYou will design and document account provisioning flows between on-premises Active Directory and Google Workspace.

You will design and document authentication flows for the current and future identity setup.

You will evaluate synchronization options, including continued use of Google Cloud Directory Sync, a transition to Entra ID, or alternative solution approaches.

You will assess suitable federation solutions for the target architecture.

You will explain the pros and cons of different technical options and turn that analysis into clear recommendations.

You will develop a practical plan for managing identity and access during migration to a new Active Directory environment.

You will contribute architectural guidance that supports a stable, secure and maintainable long-term solution.

RequirementsHands-on expertise in Google Workspace.

Hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Directory Sync (GCDS).

Experience with federation solutions.

Hands-on expertise in Entra ID.

Swedish is required.

Fluent English.

Nice to haveGood knowledge of Active Directory.

Good knowledge of tiering model.
