Do you want to help develop the next generation of sustainable coating systems? Are you innovative, analytical, and motivated by working closely with customers and colleagues across different functions? Then you might be the person we are looking for. As R&D Chemist, you will develop and improve coating systems for our Nordic coil coating and automotive customers. You will be part of a skilled R&D team consisting of chemists, colorists, and technical experts, working closely with production, sales, suppliers, and Beckers’ global R&D organization. You will report to the R&D Manager Sweden. Key responsibilities Optimize solvent compositions with a focus on sustainability and safety Develop and modify coating products based on customer requirements Evaluate product performance and document results Lead and execute development projects according to agreed plans Present results and recommendations to key stakeholders Maintain close collaboration with suppliers and colleagues across Beckers Share technical knowledge and support continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with Beckers' safety standards and values
Qualifications BSc or MSc in Chemistry Experience from the coatings, paints, or surface treatment industry is an advantage Analytical, responsible, and quality-focused Innovative mindset and willingness to learn and grow Strong collaboration and communication skills Fluent in English, both written and spoken
