A Snapshot of Your Day
You start your day aligning with sales teams, bid managers and key stakeholders on strategic customer opportunities and proposal priorities. Throughout the day, you collaborate with product management, engineering, project execution and regional organizations to shape competitive solutions and winning bid strategies. You balance leadership responsibilities with process improvement initiatives, coaching teams, reviewing proposals and strengthening sales enablement capabilities. By fostering collaboration across regions and functions, you help transform customer needs into successful business outcomes and sustainable growth.
How You’ll Make an Impact Strategic leadership and development of the global sales enablement and bid management organization, including prioritization, performance management and capability building Identification of growth opportunities across the installed fleet and translation of customer and market needs into profitable sales initiatives and business development actions Development of value propositions and winning strategies for control systems, modernization, migration, obsolescence management, digitalization and cybersecurity solutions Oversight of the end-to-end bid management process from opportunity qualification and bid support through costing, proposal development and submission Delivery of competitive, technically sound and commercially attractive proposals through close collaboration with sales, product management, engineering, service and project execution teams Promotion of standardized sales and bidding processes, tools, training, knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen customer engagement and business performance
What You Bring Degree in engineering, business administration, sales or a comparable field, combined with leadership experience in sales, bid management, technical sales, business development or a related function within a global organization Strong understanding of the energy industry, service business and complex technical solutions, ideally including control systems, modernization, digitalization or cybersecurity Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance customer value, technical feasibility, competitiveness, risk management and profitability Excellent stakeholder management, communication, facilitation and negotiation skills with experience aligning teams, functions and regions around shared objectives Collaborative and empowering leadership approach with a focus on accountability, employee development, customer orientation and execution excellence Fluent English language skills; Swedish language proficiency considered an advantage, along with willingness to travel as required
About the Team
The Medium Gas Turbine (MGT) Controls Organization, part of Controls, Digitalization & Nuclear Controls (CD&NUC), is responsible for developing, selling, and delivering innovative and reliable control solutions for the global MGT fleet. Our solutions enable efficient, sustainable, and reliable power generation worldwide. As a key contributor to a growing business, we combine deep technical expertise with a strong customer focus and a commitment to operational excellence. Our team of approximately 50 professionals, organized across six specialized sub-teams, drives the full spectrum of MGT controls activities, including sales enablement and bid management, research and development, project execution, and service.
Covering all phases of the control system lifecycle, we play a critical role in shaping the future of MGT controls technology while supporting our customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their assets.
