The MAX IV Laboratory has created a paradigm shift in accelerator science by developing the first fourth-generation electron storage ring. This has set a new standard for the availability of coherent X-ray beams and boosted ultrahigh-resolution imaging capabilities.
MAX IV Laboratory at Lund University is now searching for a computational imaging scientist for the construction and management of an X-ray Multibeam Imaging Instrument at CoSAXS beamline within the SSF-funded project: “X-ray Hierarchical 3D Nanoscopy for large specimens”.
Your role/tasks:
Main: the development of a PtyPy multibeam ptychography high-throughput data processing framework
Supporting the design and construction of the multibeam ptychography instrument in collaboration with the CoSAXS beamline team and the Technical division (IT, CAD, PLC, etc.)
Planning and execution of commissioning and experimental beamtimes
Writing high quality scientific papers and presenting your work at conferences
Your profile:
PhD in physics or related discipline
At least 4 years of PostDoctoral experience
R&D Project administration experience
Track record of 1st authorship in papers in high-impact journals (IF>6)
Experience with development of the PtyPy software
Good understanding of Fourier optics
GPU computing experience
A background in Multibeam Ptychography is highly desirable

Your team:
You will report to the project leader, Dr. Mikhail Lyubomirskiy. You willl be embedded into the Imaging group of the Science division, comprising the SoftiMAX and NanoMAX beamlines. Your daily tasks will also involve working with the CoSAXS beamline team, as well as with people in the Technical division.
