Are you an eager Data Engineer who wants to help turn data into business value? In this role at Stena Line, you will work within a business domain, where you design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines and integrations that make data accessible, secure, and easy to use. You collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and translate business needs into scalable data solutions, balancing performance, cost, security, and long-term maintainability. You are hands-on with coding, testing, troubleshooting, and continuously improving data flows from source to destination. This role also offers the opportunity to work with modern data solutions, make a real impact, and contribute to high-quality, secure data platforms at Stena Line.
 
Some of your key responsibilities:
Create and optimize data models for efficient storage and retrieval
Manage databases, including schema design, indexing, and performance optimization
Integrate data from different systems and APIs
Work with Big Data technologies
Monitor data pipelines and address issues promptly
Automate repetitive tasks using scripts or workflows

Qualifications:
Relevant university degree
Professional experience working as a developer
Strong experience working in an agile development environment
Proven experience with similar roles or assignments connected to domain-oriented data engineering
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
