We have an exciting opportunity for an Cell Manager in the Factory, located in Malmö, Sweden
The Cell Manager holds full accountability for production results, the effectiveness of Daily Management Systems (DMS), and the overall organizational health of the cell. This role is responsible for managing and continuously improving performance to meet the Compelling Business Need (CBN) and deliver against the Site Master Plan through disciplined application of RTT and Integrated Work System (IWS) tools.
The Cell Manager develops and leads a flexible, agile production organization focused on customer service, optimal asset utilization, and cost control. Acting as the IWS Site Lead, this role ensures the IWS way of working is embedded across all production departments, driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Success in this role will be measured by:
Safety: Zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI), proactive risk observations, and strong safety engagement.
Compliance: Full adherence to BAT Global Operating Model, Swedish labor laws, and excise duty regulations.
Quality: Consistent Quality to Specification (Q2S), minimal non-conforming products, and zero customer complaints.
Efficiency: High Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), improved Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and adherence to production schedules (C2S).
Cost & Waste Control: Reduction in material waste and strict adherence to departmental budget.
People Development: Increased team capability, engagement, and adoption of IWS principles.
IWS Implementation: Successful embedding of IWS practices across the cell, with strong performance in Autonomous Maintenance pillar.
Continuous Improvement: Delivery of Site Master Plan and achievement of CBN through structured loss elimination and breakthrough initiatives.
Lead assigned pillar and ensure governance and qualification of pillar team and activities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
Health, Safety & Compliance
Champion BAT’s Health, Safety, and Environmental culture by embedding it into procedures and work instructions. Ensure team discipline and maintain a safe, risk-conscious working environment to minimize or eliminate exposure to hazards.
Ensure full compliance with BAT’s Global Operating Model and Swedish labor laws and regulations.

Operational Leadership
Guide teams to achieve the Compelling Business Need (CBN) and Site Master Plan through rigorous application of RTT and Integrated Work System (IWS) tools.
Act as a senior leader in IWS, serving as Pillar Lead for Autonomous Maintenance (AM).
Take full accountability for setting direction during Factory Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings to deliver business results.
Deliver annual and monthly production targets as agreed with the central planning hub (SNO) and Plant Manager.
Drive the maintenance review process and provide timely feedback to the maintenance team on machine performance.
Implement systems to ensure product quality standards are consistently met or exceeded through active team involvement.
Maintain accurate and compliant records of all excise-related activities, including production processes, raw material usage, inventory movement, and quality control measures, in alignment with excise duty regulations.
Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and Global Technology Manager on asset replacement planning and provide production input for the annual CAPEX process.

Requirements:  
Documented an proven ability to navigate complex environment and ability to motivate & inspire teams and lead people
Deep knowledge within IWS 
Demonstrated leadership in the areas of safety and quality and continuous improvement. 
Fluent in both spoken and written English  
Clear understanding of budget process, resource management, capex management.  
Effective coaching and communication skills  
High level of personal responsibility and accountability for results.  
University degree.
