About the role
You are a critical part of the journey creating the future learning for IKEA!
As Learning Area Leader, you own and lead a defined learning area as an integrated portfolio. You are accountable for relevance, prioritisation and the full learning product lifecycle – from understanding business needs to securing adoption and business impact.

You work closely with business owners, retail markets and value-chain partners to co-create priorities. You balance long-term competence movements with operational leadership, making sure learning is business-led, learner-centric and data-informed.
Things you can expect to do in this role, but not limited to:
Own and lead a Learning Area as an integrated portfolio, with accountability for relevance, prioritisation, lifecycle management and business value.
Be responsible for learning portfolio management within the area, including intake, prioritisation, road‑mapping, investment decisions and phasing (new, improve, maintain, retire).
Lead the end‑to‑end learning product lifecycle across the area, from identified business needs and concept through development, deployment, adoption, evaluation and continuous improvement.
Act as the primary interface between learning and the business, engaging retail markets, franchisees, value‑chain owners and key stakeholders to co‑create and anchor learning priorities.
Secure that learning products in the area are business‑led, learner‑centric and data‑informed, balancing global scalability with local relevance.
Drive adoption and utilisation of the learning offer by shaping engagement strategies together with markets and stakeholders, not only through communication but through integration in business rhythms.
Lead cross‑functional collaboration with Learning Designers, operations, planners, Digital, Analytics and suppliers to ensure coherent delivery across channels.
Use insights, data and feedback to continuously assess impact, identify gaps and adjust the learning portfolio accordingly.
Represent the learning area in portfolio‑level governance, contributing to the ONE IKEA learning agenda.
Balance strategic direction (long‑term competence movements) with operational leadership (delivery, follow‑up and improvement).
Build trust‑based partnerships across IKEA and act as a credible, knowledgeable and pragmatic learning leader for the area

About you
You are motivated by connecting business needs with learning solutions that make a real difference. You enjoy creating focus and clarity in complex environments and feel confident making clear prioritisation choices.

You build trust through collaboration, communicate in a simple and practical way and live the IKEA values every day. You move naturally between strategic thinking and execution and are curious to keep learning and improving.
