We are looking for a
FINANCE MANAGER TO EXPLORE THE NORTH
Explore The North is a fast-growing hospitality group operating a unique portfolio of lodges and
hotels in Swedish and Finnish Lapland. The company focuses on authentic Arctic experiences,
combining accommodation, gastronomy, activities and nature-based hospitality in some of the
most spectacular regions of Northern Scandinavia.
The portfolio currently consists of eight distinctive lodges and hotels:
Kaamos Lodge
Lapland View Lodge
Pinetree Lodge
Arctic River Lodge
Grand Arctic Resort
Matarengi Lodge
Aurora Mountain Lodge
Valkea Lodge
And as well Northworks that operates all back office tasks and where management are now
employed.
We are looking for a strong and hands-on Finance Manager with experience in both Swedish and
Finnish business. You will work closely with the CEO and report directly to him. You will have a
team of three financial key persons that you are responsible manager over.
This is what we expect from you:
Take responsibility (either directly or through your team) for all cash management, investments,
insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company`s financial strategy and
hiring needs
Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting
for the same.
Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording,
reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization
Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible
organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team
communications, and workflows
Comply with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation
and taking appropriate action

Essential requirements:
Previous work within finance with good references.
Desirable requirements:
Hotel and travel industry knowledge.
Place of work: Employed by our Swedish company but work can be both in one of our locations or
distance from home.
Candidates should have relevant experience in finance and management, preferably within hotels
or hospitality but this is not a demand. Important to have a strong understanding of both Swedish
and Finnish financial environments.
The role is ideal for someone who wants to combine professional finance leadership with the
development of a unique hotel portfolio in one of Europe`s most extraordinary regions.
