We are a collaborative and experienced team responsible for the development of electrical wiring and harnesses (VCA) for engines and gearboxes.
We are now looking for a Development Engineer with a focus on wiring harness design who wants to play an important role in shaping the future TRATON drivetrain.
In this role, you will work close to both product and people – combining technical expertise with creativity, teamwork, and a strong focus on quality and sustainability.
Job Responsibilities
As a Development Engineer within wiring harness design, you will:
Design and develop 3D and 2D wiring harness solutions in a CAD environment, including routing, fixing, and installation for engine and gearbox systems.
Create circuit diagrams and wiring harness documentation using tools such as Saber and Capital.
Take part in the entire product development process – from early concept work to industrialization and validation.
Work hands-on with test assemblies in production, participate in troubleshooting on vehicles, and collaborate with suppliers.
Be responsible for components throughout their full lifecycle, ensuring functionality, quality, and manufacturability.
Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues within Scania and across the TRATON Group.
Continuously build and share knowledge in an area that is strategically important for TRATON’s future products.
Who You Are
We believe you are driven by technology, curious about new solutions, and enjoy working together with others. You likely have:
A relevant academic background (e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar) and some experience from a technical development role.
Experience working in a CAD environment.
A creative and structured mindset, with the ability to find smart and sustainable technical solutions.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and international environment.
A willingness to learn, grow, and develop together with the team.
Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken and Swedish is highly meriting.
Experience with Catia V5, Saber, Capital, and wiring harness design is considered a merit, but not a requirement – we value potential and the willingness to learn.
