Assignment Description
We are seeking a Firmware Engineer with a strong focus on cybersecurity to support the development of secure embedded systems within industrial products.
What You Will Work On
Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware
Ensure compliance with EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) requirements
Implement security controls aligned with IEC 62443 standards
Apply secure-by-design and secure-by-default principles
Perform threat modeling, architecture reviews, and risk assessments
Develop secure firmware update and patch management processes
Support SBOM (Software Bill of Materials) creation and vulnerability tracking
Produce technical documentation, traceability records, and compliance artifacts
Maintain documentation required for audits and product certifications
What You Bring
Degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related field
Strong programming skills in C/C++ and/or Python
Practical knowledge of EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) requirements
Experience working with IEC 62443 standards (especially product lifecycle aspects)
Familiarity with secure development lifecycle practices (SDL/SSDLC)
Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
Solid understanding of structured software development processes (requirements to testing and documentation)
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
